One of the hardest situations you’ll ever encounter in your office is when laziness solidly attacks you and you feel like you’re going to be the most unproductive worker ever. These days are normal, it happens to most people and to be honest, it’s tougher than you think.
Imagine for example, you’re a writer; the work pad is open and the only thing that’s written is the title. You’ve been staring at the work pad for almost 30 minutes already. You’re starting to get sleepy with the bright white background on your laptop making you lazier and not interested in doing your work. It just makes you more totally uninspired and you don’t have any idea to bring back that motivated worker in you.
Listed down are 5 tricks that will bring your A-game back.
- Get some sugar!
Sugar could actually boost our brains. It gives us sugar rush; but of course, don’t get too much, know your limitations. Just like they say, too much of something isn’t good for anyone.
- Take a short-break
If you cannot really focus, then take a short break. Don’t be too harsh on yourself. Go outside and breathe some air or watch a short funny clip to wake up your mind. Or if you’re too sleepy, a power nap would do. Have 10-minutes nap just make sure that you won’t get fired in your job when you do it.
- Have a conversation
Have an engaging conversation with your friend in the office. This trick could also make a great bond with your other workmates but again, know the limitations of it. When you’re ready to work again, then work.
- Hydrate
Sometimes we feel tired because we’re not hydrated enough, and we didn’t even think about it (I mean the hydration). Staying hydrated can help you stay focused and alert.
- Have some mints
You can orally have mints, or you can also just inhale some minty smell; anything that has a sharp smell. It can help wake up your brain cells and your focus.
